IJ’s Saturday Morning: Tokyo Mater
This short had started running on the Disney channel a couple of years ago, but every once in a while I'll catch it and be reminded, "Why haven't I put this up on IJ yet?" Every time I watch it I can't help but crack up since its everything that's wrong with the F&F franchise and Tokyo Drift more specifically. MODIFY! It also has a soundtrack scored by BT which makes it even that much better. I'm not the only one who liked the short as there was a whole Tokyo Drift toy line that came out in 2010 and did pretty good for the Disney Consumer Products. So get READY! Monday Musings
Hey guys! It's been a while since I've put something up, so I just wanted to stop by and say a little something. I just wanted to say thanks to Infamous for his help in spelunker-ing the web for some good stuff to look at. (feux carbon fiber vinyl...what?) I myself have been lacking in the posts cause I've been working on a side project for the past couple weeks which led me to do a side-side project. That side-side project ended up being the following...
The IJ DeadCone Shirt! Our buddy, the DeadCone, is front and center on a very nice heavyweight shirt which comes in a variety of colors, and its all vinyl printed. Nice right? Want? I know you do, so keep coming back to Import Junkiez and we'll do a little something when it comes time to release this shirt to the wild, but for now we can gawk at the awesomeness. Gawk I say...!!!
On a tangent here about gawking at awesomeness, I came across this little gem at the local D&B's Prize Pit:
What is it? It's a diary from one of the Disney licensees - cause its so obvious Disney Consumer Products would never release crap this good. What makes it super awesome is that it appeals to that "inner ricer" in us all and uses the Japanese Katakana for "Cars" and along the bottom says "DRIFT" in a typical race font with emphasis on the Rrrrrr! I wonder how many of these diaries D&B pawns off. (Wait is that DeadCone & buddies up front?) Anyhow, this was a good laugh, I thought I should share, but folks there are better things to waste our hard earned tickets on at D&B's.
