NSXPrime: Thread of the Year
So before it's time to ring in the New Year, I just had to post this up. Apparently this thread from NSXPrime has been spreading around the internet faster than the speed of light and indeed it is prolly the greatest form of "forum ownage" out there. Although most of it has been "modded" to death, you can pretty much get the gist of what happened. Short story: Spammer joins Prime. Spammer posts about winning lots o' cash from an internet site and that's how he got his NSX. Next thing you know WhoIs files and GoogleMaps are brought in to the picture. AWESOME!!! Poor guy, never had a chance as the actual thread gets resolved within the first page with his suspension. Soon after though, he was reinstated and more lies just spew forth and quickly followed by the obligatory photoshoppers and forum roll calls...it's a great read that'll sure have you chuckling into the New Year...

NSX Prime: Easiest way to own a NSX
Even a NSX_Nick got OWNED site went up...LOL.
Happy Holidays!
So its the Holiday season and it's been quite busy for me. For one, I had finally started walking and in turn, returned to work. Kind of wish I still had some downtime to mess around with the site, but I gotta pay the bills somehow. Anyhow, hope all you had a great holiday and may it continue on through to the New Year...not quite sure what's going on NYE, but if I'm not back by then, be safe and see you all next year! =)
Here's a little parting gift of a JGTC GT-R testing...listen to that beast...
How Fast is that GT-R?
According to Edmunds:
We know you want the numbers and we're not going to waste your time. Neither is Nissan. Its 2009 GT-R hits 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, quicker than the last Dodge Viper, Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo we tested. Keep your foot pinned, and after another tap on the upshift paddle it will clear the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at more than 120 mph.
3.3 seconds to 60...impressive indeed. How many pennies do I need to save again...*sigh*

Nissan/NISMO bowing out?
Jalopnik had some rather grim news today: It seems that Nissan and NISMO are pulling out of American motorsports events. According to Jalopnik, Nissan will not be participating or sponsoring any motorsports events in America for 2008.
"According to Scott Vazin, Director of Product Communications for Nissan Motor Company, though they're getting out for [Fiscal Year] 2008, 'we'll keep a presence around the world.' Vazin went on to say 'It's not all or nothing, we're certainly reviewing it against a larger motorsports strategy, but for 2008 we're taking a pause.' He wouldn't give a reason for doing so, other than saying they're working on strategy, but he did deny that it was at all a financial decision."
Indeed with the coming the GT-R, it seems quite odd that Nissan and NISMO would pull out of American motorsports.

June is Only 6 Months Away
That's when the Nissan GT-R is suppose to hit American shores. So what are we suppose to do in that time? Well, other than demos of Gran Turismo we also have this nice impression as well as awesome pictures from StreetSeen.VI! Check it out...
Don't tell the S2 I've been keeping an eye on this car....
Waiting Patiently…
So for those of you who own a PS3 and still waiting for the GT5 Prologue to drop, you'll still have to wait. In the meantime tho, Polyphony Studios debuted a new trailer for the Prologue during Spike's Video Game Awards show. I have a feeling we'll be seeing the demo drop sometime next year...
Dekotora Hits the Wii

What is Dekotora? It's a Japanese abbreviation for "decorative trucks." You know you've seen them before...either on the internet, on tv shows, maybe lucky enough to see one driving down the street. What amounts to a carnival on wheels, these trucks can get pretty elaborate and are quite a site to see. Not likely to hit the US, but those over the top trucks from Japan have a new game about them. Zenkoku Dekotora Matsuri should be available February 2008.

Hmmm...I guess I never posted this story. It was sitting on my desktop for the longest time. Oh well. I guess it kind of goes along with the truck theme that I got going on today...lol.
Donkey Kong: The Monster Truck
Leave it up to Nintendo to enter into the monster truck market with their own Donkey Kong monster truck. What a cool looking truck if you ask the Nintendo fanboy inside of me
Still I prolly would never be caught at any of these events. Seriously...monster trucks and the people they attract scare me. HAHA...
Oddities from NorCal: Scraper Bikes
The words escape me at the moment at one of the fads that is supposedly picking up around hyphy nation, Oakland, CA. The same city that gave us the "WOO WOO!!!" of whistle pipes and taught us how to ghostride our whips. Now comes along a rather "riced out" version of Lowrider Bikes:
Hella Tite Yo! lol
